Daisho Con 2009, Change is Coming

It's been less than 6 months since daishocon 2008, at it's still hard to believe our first-year success! I've been removing some of ou 2008 information, but we're still working hard to secure the best guests and events for DaishoCon 2009!
Keep this date in your calendar: April 2nd. This is when we will release our new guest information, panels, an much, much more. Just thinking about it gives me feelings of uncontrollable intestine functioning.

DaishoCon 2009: Official Date Announcement!
Daishocon 2008 was a great success, and we are working hard to fulfill Daishocon 2009 resolutions.
Daishocon 2009 will be held November 20th, 21st, and 22nd, at the Ramada Inn, Stevens Point.
We'll be opening pre-registration April 2nd, get ready to register to claim the preregistration deal!
Don't forget to join the forums, and get involved!

Attendance numbers are in, and we count approximately 575 people in attendance at DaishoCon 2008. You made us run to print off more badges, and that makes us con staff happy!

And with a bang, DaishoCon has started the madness. Guests hava arrived, tournament gauntlets thrown down, anime viewed. The hallways are packed, but you can still stop by to enjoy the action!

Expect Epic Events
Whether you're into pretend fighting or real, DaishoCon is the convention for you to practice your art in competition. In the "real world," take part in boffer fighting. In the pretend realm, battle with friends in our new D&D Team Tournament, where you can win fabulous prizes!
If you prefer other realms of the imaginary, ones that might have been, try the Steam Century Mystery Game. Hosted by Steam Century, the Mystery Game is sure to satisfy your fix of the alternate reality.

John Jackson Miller at DaishoCon 2008! (Also, zombies.)
Comic Book fans rejoice! John Jackson Miller has been added to our 2008 guest lineup!
John has written such titles as Marvel Comics' Iron Man and Crimson Dynamo, Bongo Comics' Bart Simpson, and Star Wars: Empire for Dark Horse Comics. He has also been the regular writer of Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic since the beginning. For 2008, John has been writing the comics adaptation of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. For more on John Jackson Miller, visit our guests page.

Wheel of Anime

For a one-day only extravaganza, KORfan's traveling Wheel of Anime will be in your town! Bring your friends! Bring your plushies! Bring your interesting yet single aunt! For you too can compete in the biggest traveling Wheel of Anime game in the Midwest! You and your sentai team of 3-5 people can win thousands of Yen worth of fabulous prizes! Three team of brave otaku will compete (as long as they can come up with names for their teams) in this once-in-a-lifetime chance.

Tiffany Grant at Daishocon 2008!

NEW GUEST! Daisho Con is proud to welcome Tiffany Grant to our 2008 lineup! Best known as Asuka from NEON GENESIS EVANGELION, Tiffany Grant was the first voice actor hired by ADV Films in February 1994.
NEW VENDORS! DaishoCon is also introducing new vendors, including Look Sharp. We can't wait to see the destructive gut-ripping weaponry that they bring to our conference, which you probably shouldn't bring to our own new sword fighting tournament.

After a long winter break, the first draft of our website is far into development. Bear with us while we work to fix some kinks and add more information... it'll be good, I promise!
